The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

Five major tax bills were enacted during 2008, they are:

• the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008
• the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008
• the Heroes Earnings Assistance and Relief Tax Act of 2008 (HEART ACT)
• the Heartland, Habitat, Harvest, and Horticulture Act of 2008 (FARM ACT)
• the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
